Perfect Bird for January
Perfect Bird for January – The Snowy Egret, a beautiful display of flowing snow white feathers on this bird. Being there is a lot of cold and blizzard type weather moving across the states. Even down south here along the coast, the temps are cold and high winds.
Bundle up Buttercup, more cold weather coming.

Our winter migration to Arizona has just been one long coldfest – ended up going up to Vegas to celebrate my birthday and now almost back home. Pretty sure we’ll be going back to Texas next year ha.
Yes, it has been cold everywhere, but up north at our cabin, we hardly have any snow this year. Which is not normal at all.
What an elegant-looking bird you have captured here Sandra.
They are so pretty when they are just sitting somewhere quiet like this.
Yes, they are beautiful and much “showier” than the regular egrets.
He’s a pretty one! 🤣🙃😎
Yes, sitting in a sun spot trying to warm up.
So puffy, and yet those long skinny, yellow legs.
I know, birds are so cute when they puff up.
Beautiful ! 💙💙🐦💙💙🙏
Thank you very much Francine 😊 ☺️
Great photos of this beautiful!
Thank you Eddie. 😊
You’re welcome Sandra
The critters on the South Carolina coast are all huddled up. If I was brave enough to check I’m sure there would be some ice out back.
I know, same here Ted on the gulf coast. It is 29 degrees right now. 🙂
All up and down the southern coast. I don’t think the alligators will be out soon LOL.
I liked the “bundle up buttercup” phrase.
One of my favorite lines. 🙂
The first image in particular looks very wintery, it looks as if he has put on an extra thick winter coat 🙂
Very beautiful images of this heron species native to your country.
Yes, when they scrunch down, they look like they are conserving some heat by looking fluffy.
This bird looks most appropriate for your cold white snowy weather Sandra, and yes a great January bird for you. We have been hearing about your massive snow storms on the news, we have no idea what that is like as we never see snow here and the temperature in January is around 95 to 100 F daily.
So strange that we have such a difference in temperatures. Yes, lots of snow and extreme cold right now. I am in the south by the ocean and it is unusually cold here as well.

Thank you very much 😊
“The bird, native to my hometown, gracefully soars over rice fields, accompanied by buffalo, cows, and bulls. The picturesque sight in the sky is enchanting. I miss the village; it’s truly a heavenly place compared to town life.”
That sounds so peaceful, I relarely see them flying here, always perched somewhere near water looking for food.
