New Puppy Portraits
New Puppy Portraits, nothing makes me smile more than dogs. I have had a dog for as long as I can remember. Making portraits of them is a joy of mine, sometimes it is just about their eyes. So many expressions.
This first dog I photographed at a campground. He was looking back at his people, I don’t know the folks at all but random photos of dogs are a fun way to just show all the different kinds of dogs there are.
This one below is a friend of ours, a Golden Labrador. Thought I would try my hand at pencil art. On the computer though. I make all these portraits on the computer.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Aww, you made my day with these pictures. Thank you!
Very welcome Katherine, have a wonderful day.
There’s a tale to tell in the first dog’s expression. What soulful eyes and floppy ears.
Yes, dogs eyes can be so expressive. Each breed is so unique.
So very true!
These are beautiful dog portraits Sandra. As to the pencil drawing you have created from a photo, I wonder why anyone these days would want to go to fine arts school to learn how to draw when it would be easier for them to learn photography instead then use the methods you are using? I would not be able to tell that someone did not sit and draw that portrait – amazing!
Thank you very much Linda. It sure helps me to express my creative side. I bet drawing it would take a long time.
It looks like fun and now I ask myself why I bought all the art how-to books after I met the plein air group those two times. I said I wouldn’t join the group until I considered myself good enough at drawing … this would be easier and just as creative.
It would be fun to draw, I tried it when I was very young. But just don’t have the talent.
I took some free classes with the City when I was a teenager … we used to go on local field trip. I enjoyed it, but school got in the way when school started up in the Fall, homework, etc. I like the idea of the drop-in art classes … no commitments of a regular schedule.
