  1. I love the photos, but they reminded me of my son’s family who came to the memorial service this past month. In the ten days they were here, we had grackles and black birds in the back yard. One sparrow got brave enough to eat a few seeds on the back porch. But as soon as our extremely noisy nine-year-old (going on perpetual two-year-old) left, the cardinals and robins were there, almost immediately. And the robins nest in the rafters of our back porch. They must have only been visible at night.

    1. Yes, grackles and blackbirds can sometimes take over your feeders. I have not seen one cardinal this year at our place. Very strange. Hope you are doing well Mark and have a good day today. 😊

  2. Very bright and varied collection of birds. I can imagine the fireworks noises with each photo.

  3. Now this is the kind of grand finale I can fully enjoy. I loved fireworks until we got Adi. For the week in and around the 4th, she is miserable every night at the sound of fireworks popping. The sounds of songbirds would be more pleasing to her sensitive ears.

    1. Yes, we live in an area now where we don’t hear any fireworks. I am ok with that as well. My little dog doesn’t like it and my larger dog never seem to mind them.
