  1. I can tell you from experience, as long as you don’t try to step on one thinking its head was a rock (don’t ask), they pretty much would rather just enjoy a lazy day. Something about alligators that always brings enjoyment when photographing them.. not sure if it is the throwback to prehistoric times or just experiencing an apex predator. Your specimen has a nice white set of teeth, must be getting its fill from crunching turtles.

    1. They are so cool looking and can get gigantic, we missed the shot of the biggest one sitting in the road, we were looking out the side windows and it was right in front of us. Now I can picture you looking for a bird and thought that was a rock. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

  2. They freak me out. My uncle told me stories about some close calls while he was in Florida and yikes. My grandpa went out in a boat and they fed them. He found them very interesting. Apparently he was able to buy a can of alligator meat. I don’t know if he ever ate it though.

  3. So scary photos to view and nice photography ๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

    1. Yes, lots of them here, there are signs everywhere around this nature area stating please stay in your cars. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ณ

      1. LOL, much better than the South Carolina signs. Here the state posts โ€˜Alligators May Live Hereโ€™.

The โ€˜May Live Hereโ€™ part makes everyone laugh. People are probably out numbered around here LOL.

  4. Having spent a lot of time in the Louisiana area, New Orleans,Hammond,Manchac, especially, I learned to give these buggers as much lense as possibleโ€ฆ
