Louisiana
Louisiana – Our first stop is north of New Orleans. I try to pick small town campgrounds close to water especially this time of year hoping to see a lot of wildlife.
This one is right on the Tchefuncte River, Not even sure how to pronounce this one.

Beautiful morning views as I go for my early walk.

As the sun rose and began to cast its soft light across the river, I glanced upstream and noticed a series of statues and pillars standing near a home along the bank. Curious, I later looked into what they might be. It turns out that just behind this striking structure sits a private swimming pool—these pillars serving as an elegant screen, shielding the space from the view of passing boaters.

A great spot to rest. Love it.
I think Louisiana swamps, wetlands, are about the same as SC. They are all a little different, but LA with the Cypress, Tupelo, and Moss is ‘home’. Now that’s odd coming from a NYC kid lol.
Wow, NY, I have never been there. Such a difference though. I love the forest where we are from. But there is always something special about the trees in the south.
Great way to block a pool. 🤣😎🙃
Yes, pretty fancy. 😅
Cha-funk-ta. We had a joke about it, but I won’t say it here. I’m from Louisiana. I love the photos. Reminds me of Caddo lake, where I grew up.
The way you wrote it, works for me. 😃
