Light Snow to End the Week
Light Snow to End the Week, what a beautiful week it has been weather wise. Even the snow was just right, not to much but just enough to see it lightly falling around the birds perched in the trees.
Look here, one tiny branch with a red bud on it. I love seeing the first new bud on a tree, after its long winters nap.
Have a Wonderful Weekend

Buds already – wow! Those birds with their bright-yellow beaks rival the ducks with their orange feet.
Beautiful images of such colorful birds.
Thank you very much Irene, they do brighten the winter days.
How beautiful a contrast to see these attractive birds set against pristine white snow Sandra ! You are so blessed to have such a contrast of seasons, and to see birds even amid the cold conditions. Many of our birds migrate from much warmer winters here and never see snow ever in our hot continent. It is interesting that these birds appear to be seed eaters, and I guess this is where you help out your native birds during winter with your seed feeders, whereas we try not to feed ours or they become too aggressive and dependent. , as they can fend for themselves and water is their main need. I have loved your winter pics of snow and water, thanks so much for sharing the beauty of your unique season with us down here. 🙂
Thank you, yes feeding the birds is a big thing in this part of the country, winter last a long time. Today the weather was a little warmer and the birds did not show up. They seem to be out and about also when it warms up.
Gorgeous photos! Love the birds, they’re so beautiful! Have a great weekend!!
Thank you Maria, you to.
Beautiful
Thank you very much Seraja 😊
My pleasure lovely. How are you 😘💋
Hi Seraja, I am doing good, ready for spring to arrive here. Hope all is well with you also.😊❤
Amazing photos! ❤️
Thank you very much 🙂
Beautiful shots of these birds in the snow. Here spring is in the air 🙂
Thank you, yes I still have a couple months, but I see some rain in the forecast a couple weeks from now. That is encouraging.
That precious first bud!
Yes, I love it when I see that first one. 🙂
You too Sandra!
Thank you
Really beautiful.
Thank you very much 🙂
🙂
Great shots of the Grosbeak. What is the little black bird in the first picture? Was he intentional or did he Photo-Bomb you.
Laughter Can be habit forming
It was intentional, but I am not sure what kind of bird he is. I am guessing in the black bird family. I could not find anything yet. 🙂
It looks a little small and early for a blackbird?
Yes, and its eyes are unique. And I only see the one around the feeders.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Sandra, have a great weekend.
You to Francine, thank you 🙂
The tiny details in your beautiful photos really make them pop.
Thank you very much, I love seeing the little red bud on the tree. 🙂
Et ici, en France, les premières douceurs (en espérant que le froid ne gèle pas les fragiles pousses…) se ressentent, et l’on voit quantité d’oiseaux piailler d’amour, merci beaucoup pour vos magnifiques photos, très bon week-end également
Thank you so much, I can’t wait to start seeing the birds migrating back to this area, a sure sign of spring when that happens. 🙂
I so love your bird-pictures. Especially on white background. A splash of life in otherwise sleepy environment.
Thank you very much Jo, have a wonderful weekend. 😊
Too cuty 🥰🤩
Thank you 🙂

Thank you 🙂
Absolutely love seeing shots of the Evening Grosbeak. One of these days I hope to get a picture of one myself – so far it continues to elude me.
