Leaving Jykell Island
Leaving Jykell Island – a unique place we visited and yet never to return. But my photographs are a way for us to remember this place, a place in passing, as we stood on this beach looking at the eerie shadows of the trees with no life. There lies our shadows as well, a moment in time, an eerie feeling that we left something behind.

Excellent memories to leave with.
It was a beautiful place π
The angry snarl of trees and their shadows on a desolate beach is even more impressive than the still shots.
Yes, as if the shadows are moving, reaching out to grab something. π
Yes, almost ghoulish-like!
Stunning video (excellent choice of music) and photos ! Almost looks like another planet… Nature is so rich in marvels !
Thank you Sandra ! Have a great evening π§‘πππ
Yes, it does like a different world. Even the ocean water is so calm in that area. Thank you Francine π π
Interesting photos. Very artistic, Sandra.
Thank you very much Mary. π
Looks like a magic place for photographers
It really is, we were there during their off season, they say it is really busy during the summer.
I hope you don’t mind me asking you, Sandra: why did you say you won’t be returning there? I just felt curious. I find it also eerie. Even the name of the island…. but nice shots and video.
Some of the places we visit like this one, is just a one stop visit. It is one of those places that just happens to be on the way to another place. There are so many beautiful places to see in the US, we need to move on and see the next one. Especially because it is such a small island. We drove around the entire island in one visit. π
