Until the tennis ball takes a bad hop and heads straight toward you, amazing how the dog can catch it and not a piece of you at the same time.

I was “trained” to observe the MP canine duo once. After that, I was requested. I would watch, providing a witness. But I never got in the dog’s way. It would not have ended well. But in one of your photos, I see the tennis ball. They would play for a while before they started. That was part of the training. So, when the ball went into the MP’s pocket, the dog became laser focused, usually. A little misbehaving from the dog, and they played a little more to get the dog’s focus back.
