Thank you Sandra. Great shots. That wingspan happens in a split second and no one ever gets to see such detail. Every feather has a purpose. From what you’ve been reporting, there are apparently fewer birds out there compared to the recent past or last year. What do you think is causing this? Is it a seasonal thing? Hope you’re feeling a lot better today
Hello RJ, still sick but better then yesterday. Slow and steady recovery. I am not sure what is going on with the bird population. I remember people saying they have noticed the decline a few years ago. But I have only noticed it over the last 3 years now. At least where we travel and even at home. Not the same amount of birds. My guess is loss of habitat. We see so many solar farms going up now, and cities getting larger. Birds die in collisions now more then ever. A huge problem is to much light pollution as well. Most birds migrate at night and big city lights drawes them in. There are some nature areas out west that we have been to that have signs out saying to not put out lights at tour campers, that it is dark sky country. We dont use extra lights like that, at home and on the road. We happen to live in a dark sky country. I dont see a way to change this outcome as the earth moves forward. We can only trust that He knows what is happening and He is in control.
Glad to know you are making progress. Sounds like you really took a hit. We have to work ever harder to keep our immune systems strong since we are subjected to so much. Some are calling it the Great Poisoning. And regarding the birds I hear you. I’m sure incessant chemtrailing is also a big part of the problem. The only solution in these times is to continue trying to make things better where one lives or go to places like dark sky country and where there are fewer pesticides and less pollution.
The country is dividing at an ever increasing rate. There is really no hope of stopping this. People have chosen their sides and are digging in. America is slowly breaking up. Since y’all are travelers you can choose your places, which is good. And I agree completely that He is in control. The closer we are to Him the better off we are. Blessing to y’all.

Herons look so much more graceful in flight than standing and the wingspan never ceases to amaze me.
