If mushrooms grow above the soil, that hints at the abundance of fungal life you do not see under your soil.
A great time to find them is after a rain and some warmer, humid type weather.

Always enjoy seeing what pops up in our woods come spring…although keeping the rogue morel hunters out of here is a pain ha.
I have tried hunting for morels, not much luck, but it is fun walking in the woods.
