How Fast Time Flies

How Fast Time Flies, Is it Autumn already? No, just kidding, this is the actual color of the leaves in the center of this particular plant all year long. This plant is called a Ash Leaf Spirea. I am trying to add a little color to the yard.

  1. I just looked in my blog, using a few key words, to try and find a post about a similar bush which has the same colors around late July, but could not find it. It does that – a few leaves will be red, then all the leaves fall off, yet it is not the entire plant in Fall colors. That is what’s so strange. I’ve written about it a time or two. My Weeping, Miniature Red-Lace Maple already has bright-red leaves.

    1. Yes, I always have one maple tree that has a few leaves at ground level, like little sprouts coming off of the tree and they are bright red now. But it seems like they are always red.

      1. I wished I could find that blog post as the leaves were exactly the same, but no worries because I remember I took the pic of the leaves, then a photo of my watch beneath them as it has a date/time stamp.

    1. It is pretty Mr. Ohh, no it stays that color. The leaves in the middle stay orange. Well, at least while it is a small plant.

    1. Thank you very much, yes I love that look, like an oil painting. If I could paint I would do that. But thanks to photoshop, I can make my imagination come to life.
