Hot Sand Hot Sand

Hot Sand Hot Sand

Hot Sand Hot Sand, or just doing a little dance. It is a very windy day and the sand is blowing giving these photos a nice whitish background. The birds don’t seem to mind the sand blowing, but the salt spray tends to leave a sticky residue on your glasses, cameras and skin.

  1. Well you have a point there Sandra – we’d be standing on one leg and shifting around too if it’s too hot to stand on hot sand. This is a great shot of this seagull.

      1. It was a ploy – I’ll look uncomfortable and someone will give me more snacks. I took a treat for the groundhog at Elizabeth Park as every time I go, he begs from the boardwalk. He was not around.

  2. Awesome images, Sandra! Loved looking at these birds. To know you are dealing with sand has me smiling (sorry) for I’m about to venture into snow soon here. I would not like in all seriousness, to be anywhere near blowing sand with my camera equipment. I am so careful with mine, and I cringe just thinking the damage blowing sand could possibly do to cameras and lenses. Hope all your equipment is A-OK!! xo

    1. Thank you Amy, yes I took my old camera to the beach and it stayed in my bag the majority of the time after I could tell how much salt was getting on my glasses.
