Heading Out to Sea

Today we are traveling farther west, I scheduled this weeks post ahead of time because the campground we are going to said it does not have any internet available. So if you leave a comment and I don’t reply right away, that will be why. But I will get back to you when the internet is available again.

We have another spot coming up at the end of the month, that might not have internet either. Remember the days before internet, when we had to read the newspapers for news and I remember I would have to get the encyclopedia out to look up bird names and such. I do appreciate the convenience of the World Wide Web. 🙂

    1. Hi Marland, I was thinking about you and wondering how your vacation was going. I am traveling still and I am running into the same thing. Sometimes I have internet and sometimes nothing. 😊

      1. I am now home! I also had internet at the Hotel on the way home! I did have a great vacation! No internet, meant that I had more time for birding!

        1. Sounds Iike a wonderful vacation. I get internet now and then and I am doing the same thing. More time for birding. 😊

  1. Seeing those bright-blue skies with the occasional puffy cloud – we’ve seen more gray and gloomy skies than sun this Winter. The boats make the photo very picturesque.

  2. Absolutely know that feeling, was constantly chasing internet connectivity at some of the more remote areas we went to on the Texas border. We’d cheer when we finally got cellular data or wifi range.

    1. I just picked up a signal this afternoon. Funny thing, we are at a huge state park. I reserved 2 nights awhile ago and the computer shows this place is packed. We got here and all the spots say reserved but only a handful of people here. Not sure what is going on.

      1. Maybe they were reserved for snowbird Canadians that cannot get across the border at the moment – we had a lot of that in South Padre Island, reserved empty spaces because they didn’t want to give up their seasonal spot.

        1. I was wondering about that. I heard about those from Canada come down into this area for the winter. I have booked places through March and it is a good thing, when I go back and look, the park is full.

  3. Your pictures remind me of a movie… CODA. Have you seen it? If not, try to see it. It’s so endearing.

    1. I have not heard of it, I just watched the trailer to that movie. It looks like a great movie. I love movies like that, thanks for introducing it to me.
