It’s the little features that often go unnoticed that make birding so enjoyable.

I agree, their feet are just as interesting as the wings. Especially a Swan, now they have some big feet.

Great details on those parts that make up your favorite bird Sandra!

Sandra, these close-ups you take and share of birds and other animals reveal all the more the wonderful features of not only the outer appearance but their distinct functionality as well. I watched your pelican video yesterday, I think, and was yet amazed, not at seeing these creatures as usual but perceiving the much greater detail than most of us ever see or appreciate. You are doing with your photography the equivalent of comprehensive written accounts and books with large quantities of footnotes/endnotes. One may also consider the prominent ability of the human eye (which we usually take for granted) which gives us the ability to see this multi-layered detail. Thank you

You are very welcome. That is a wonderful way to describe photography. There are so many people that do not get to see wildlife this close since the age of the phone cameras. It is breathtaking to me everyday to see animals and birds this close. Along with flowers and trees. I can’t go by a tree without putting my hand on it. The textures in creation are so unique. I am glad I get to share it with you. 😊
