Duck Duck and Duck
Duck Duck and Duck, I have not seen many ducks or geese this year so far. But, then again I have not gone to any lakes this past week or so. I will have to be getting out there again soon. It has been pretty quiet around my place right now with the birds. They are sitting on nest I imagine.

Mallards are beautiful – soon our Mallards (and likely yours) will be molting and going into eclipse phase – the drakes will be looking just like their mates until the feathers return.
Yes, amazing how that happens.
I love the color and detail of the flying shots so great

Thank you very much Janet.
Step carefully. Geese leave fertilizer pellets everywhere! ๐๐
Yes, lots of them. ๐
What a wonderful series of shots! This is a male Mallard, isnโt it? I saw one waddling along a pathway recently, and didnโt even realize thatโs what it was, because his head feathers seem to be losing their bright green.
Yes, it is a male. Hope they are not molting already. Seems early.
Fantastic photos…
Thanks, Sandra. Have a great day.

Thank you, yes ducks are so much more colorful in flight.
How many beautiful colors in a duck. We have this species here, too. You could have fun with your camera. ๐
