Dolphins in the Wild
Dolphins in the Wild – I see dolphins a lot when I am on the gulf coast. But, never jumping out of the water when I am just walking on the beach. I mostly see their fin and part of the body is all.
Below is a quick video I took of a couple of dolphins rounding up fish next to the beach as a Blue Heron paced back and forth watching them, as if it was trying to tell the dolphins to move the fish just a little closer so he could have one also.

That light from the sunrise is beautiful. I like dolphins too Sandra, but have only seen them in sea aquariums, not in real life swimming alongside where you walk or drive. How cool is that to happen!
Have you read Voices in the Ocean? It’s a wonderful book about dolphins!
I have not, but I will look it up. I have not heard of this book. Thank you for sharing the title.

Thank you very much Francine ☺️ 😊
So fun to watch the dolphins. We always go to see them racing the ships passing through Port Aransas and enjoy catching glimpses of them while we are on the Galveston Island ferry.
Same here! I love both places too! I hope to live close to one or the other someday!
We are thinking of going to Aransas, it would be next April, is that a good time to go?
We usually go in January, this is the first time we made it there in April timeframe. It was disappointing that the Whooping Cranes had already headed North before we got there and overall birding seemed a bit down. However, we did still have a lot of fun, plenty of Dolphins around and the beach was nice, especially the walk out on their Jetty. We were also glad we made it there just after spring break – assume it gets more chaotic then.
Thanks for the information. ☺️
Beautiful
Thank you very much 🙂
I couldn’t get it to play, but I love the picture!
Thanks for letting me know, I will check it out Kim.
