Doe a Deer a Female Deer, Ray a Drop of Golden Sun. Perfect line for todays photos because the sun actually came out for the first time in days. I stepped out the door with my camera in hand and off they ran. So I was able to get a couple of photos.

They have a way of looking right at me.

The two photos below are the same as the one above. Another blogger suggested cutting out the dark area above the deer. This first one I cropped it out but I feel it has to much for ground in it.

This second one I added some background to even out the photo and have the deer in the center of the photo. Which do you like better?

  1. I like the larger photo better Sandra, but my favorites of the deer photos are the first one gazing in the distance, the one looking at you and the two deer that are leaping off, flashing their white tails.

  13. Wow, it’s difficult to choose since each has a certain feel. Although the edited ones are ‘cleaner’ and possibly more pleasing to the eye, the original with the dark woods in the background suggests the home they’ve journeyed from out into the open. Deer can be such delightful pests, with those big beautiful brown eyes. As if to say, “Who me? I’d never eat your birdseed in winter and your flowers the rest of the year.” 🙂

    1. That is a wonderful description Mary and yes, the deer always try to look so innocent. As they eat everything. 🙂

  15. I like the last photo. Great photos, all of them. Deer are such beautiful creatures. I can’t imagine hunting one, just for sport.

  16. I love the first and the last photo very mucht. For the last one, you could leave out the dark part on top, I thinks it would be even beter that way

    1. Thank you, I appreciate that. I actually had cropped out the dark part of that photo and wasn’t sure if I like it. I will crop it and add it to the bottom of the post so you can see it.

    2. I added two photos to the post, let me know which one you like. I love being able to adjust a photo, especially to another ones idea. 🙂
