I think the AI path is a slippery slope. I can see its benefits, but also know there are far more downsides. I envision a state where you never know what is true or made up unless you see it with your own eyes and even that will be manipulated as well. We will see as it’s a powerful training coming down the tracks, glad I don’t work in the photo-journalism world.

I have an android and the photos can compare to my DSLR at the moment. I am sure that will change soon. I do take some photos with it, but not for selling. The quality is not there yet. ;)

Seems like AI is just the next iteration in the pursuit of the perfect pic: - 35mm: never know what you got till it’s developed - digital point and shoot: see result right away but optics limited - DSLR: good optics, better results - Phones: I find my phone beats my DSLR in everything except telephoto, high speed and long exposure - AI: still a few tell-tale giveaways - Future AI: ??? There’s something to be said for being old-school purist

I like your two photos best Sandra – the Blue Jay is realistic, whereas the other pictures, the setting and birds are too perfect, even the water droplet is not realistic, being a blue droplet. Real imagery versus AI is perfect and I don’t believe they have perfected AI yet.

The pictures are nice, especially the flying bird. But I'm not a fan of AI in any way. Yes it is here to stay, but as you said It can't replace human creativity. I myself have looked at it and it destroys my writing by overshadowing my sac=rcastic voice and tries to bribg everything to a logical conclusion. I trie to leave them laughing. Logic is overated.
