Bond Falls September 2020

Bond Falls September 2020, I have been hiking this area for years now. This is my last trip for this year. There is just something about waterfalls, especially in the middle of a forest that I just love to visit. For me, it is quite something to stop and sit for awhile near a waterfall and just watch and listen to the rushing of the water.

The water is like life, it has a beginning, we are not sure exactly where that is. It travels through many twist and turns, rocks and sand. And it is all heading somewhere, to a larger body of water where it becomes one as like the seas.

I’ve noticed that over the years, there have been patterns in the choices I have made. A pattern of thoughts and visions. Every choice I made good or bad, every twist and turn of the path of my life has led me to where I am today. Β

When I was younger I could not understand why I had to go through all the troubles, as many people have had to do. For me, now that I am at the young age of 59 years old. I can honestly say the pains of the past are in the past.

Life is about learning, love and laughter and helping others the best we can. Even if it is through our abilities to get through the hard times, that is what makes us who we are. I learned to let go and trust in the Light that surrounds me.

Lean not unto your own understanding and He shall direct thy paths.

Finding my purpose has been the journey, the end will just be the beginning.

  2. Do you know Medical Marijuana is the best Medicine for Cancer buy now from harmonydispensaryshop.com

  3. These pictures make me envy your luck for being able to be this close to the woods!!❀
But Ma’am, I could honestly feel myself drowning in the pool of serenity!!

  4. The power behind the water in the waterfalls is also reflected in your words. As I reflected on your words, a snippet I read last night from Corrie Ten Boom’s book The Hiding Place came to mind. Here is what she wrote, “Memories are the key not to the past, but to the future. I know that the experiences of our lives, when we let God use them, become the mysterious and perfect preparation for the work He will give us to do.”

  5. Love your slow shutter speed shots of the falls, Sandra. Your view of life is that same as mine. Just thinking recently how clueless I was and how very much in the “dark” I was when young. I grew up on the Tough Road of Life and thank goodness, the past yes is in my past. LOVED the peace I felt in this post! Thank you! xo

    1. Thank you Amy, yes, you and I and many others I believe have been in very similar situations. Different to a point but similar. And time does heal wounds, healing for me was learning to let go of what the world told me I should do or who I should be. If we leave our nature, we become someone else. Returning to nature, brings us back in line with with the true Light. I love that and am so comfortable with who I am today and I am very blessed to have met you, it is good to know that others have gone through similar things and came out of it all with open eyes and hearts. Have a wonderful Sunday Amy. πŸ™‚ πŸ’•

      1. Reading your words my head was shaking up and down agreeing. Yes I am the MOST comfortable with myself today then ever before. Since March of this year when pandemonium broke out, that circumstance squeezed out that last bit of “toothpaste” that was no longer needed. Strength and confidence are the two main aspects that have been fine tuned over the past months. To be me and just me, is the most incredible Gift anyone can give him or herself. SMILE!!

  6. Nice waterfall and sunset photos! I’ve never been to Bond Falls, but when I was a child (until I was nine) we used to spend our summers on Lake Tomahawk, near Minocqua, Wisconsin.

    1. Thank you Nemorino, I do love Wisconsin, we have camped a couple times in that state. Isn’t a wonderful memory to have of spending time at lakes when we were younger. I to have a lake like that where we spent our summers swimming and having fun. Thank you for sharing. πŸ™‚

        1. Yes, we went to Ironwood a couple times a year when I was younger, and we always bought those for the ride home. And we still get them when we go up to lake Superior and have a picnic on the beach. They are so good.

          1. Yea, I tried making them at home but what I made never came close in taste or appeal. I used to pick up a bunch and haul them back in a cooler to toss in HergΓ© freezer but fir some reason, they never lasted long. πŸ˜ƒ

            1. I know, they are so good. I finally mastered a recipe we like. It is the crust that really makes them. They are getting more expensive up there now, so I wanted to make them anytime. I make chicken and beef ones, with the potatoes cut up into those little chunks. Now I will have to make them tomorrow since we have been talking about them. πŸ™‚

            2. Lol, oh- sure, I see how it is. Lol Can’t say that I blame you. I agree the crust may well be the real secret ingredient. There are just some enjoyable nuances in life that will always remain superior to others.

    1. You also Francine, yes, I love where I am at in life right now. I better understanding and I don’t worry so much any more. Thank you Francine.
