August Brings Clear Skies

August Brings Clear Skies

August Brings Clear Skies and some sunshine. With all the fires out west and to the north, I have not seen blue skies for most of July. My brother is very near to one of those fires in Montana. They are packed and ready to go if needed. The fire fighters come by and tell them if it is time to leave.

They do have a chance for rain soon, I pray that it reaches all the areas that are burning, hopefully they will see the sun soon as well.

August Brings Clear Skies

This red bud reminds me of the strong hearts that we all have, especially during times of trouble. That we can get through anything, helping our neighbors when we can and having faith to keep us going on the straight path. My brother said they are ready to go if needed, he isn’t worried about the things left behind, those things are replaceable, they are just things.

August Brings Clear Skies

I came across this yellow flower with petals in the shape of hearts. There seems to be a pattern I see, as I walk through the forest thinking about things.

Through the dark times, there will always be Light. New growth will appear, pristine and white. To remind us that life on this earth is temporary.

Make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

  1. Beautiful pictures, the sky, the flowers … I hope things have gotten better for your brother and everyone in the path of the wildfires.

        1. They are still on watch, the fire is smoldering and still creeping along they said. So it is not completely out yet.

          1. Oh, that’s too bad … I hear the stories and they are so disheartening with so much damage, that it is hard to get a handle on the firefighters’ progress sometimes.

  2. There was a fire a few hours north of me. Helicopters went to scoop water from one of the lakes and the water level was too low because of the drought. They couldn’t get the fire out because there was no access to water. It burned and burned and burned. Finally the rains have come and that has helped Arizona. Poor Montana! Poor Washington! Poor California! There are still so many fires and some are so large.

    1. Yes, even here in the mid west the lakes and rivers are running very low. My brother said they got a little rain and more is in the forecast, so hopefully they get what they need every where.

  3. I love these words and the depths of their truth Sandra- “Through the dark times, there will always be Light. New growth will appear, pristine and white. To remind us that life on this earth is temporary.” Know that your brother and his family are in my prayers.

    1. I love the title of your blog. Sounds like a great job to be training for. Or should I say life style. 🙂 thank you for sharing your kind words.

  4. Thank you Sandra. The Lord is Faithful. He is always faithful to His children. He takes great care of His people according to their trust and complete confidence in Him. All things are possible with Him. The sun will always shine again. Blue skies will always emerge again.

Thank you for your heart of hope and illustrating such ever present and constant reminders of His presence and love in the natural world such as small flowers shaped like hearts. These are hope reminders. Hope adds to our faith and true faith in Him gives one peace. May all who read your post pray for your brother and his family. May great rains come to drench the fires. May we all put our trust in the Lord.

Though we are frail we can also be strong in Him. Humility is a door. Whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Thank you for your faithful work. Blessings to you today
