As the Light Shines

As the Light Shines

As the Light Shines – that simple head line I wrote sounds like a soap opera title. A beautiful orange butterfly enjoys the sweet nectar of a tiny flower in the morning light. But, little does it know, a camera lens keeps getting closer to it, trying to get that perfect shot.

Stay tuned to see what happens next, after this commercial break. dun, dun, dunnnnnn. 🙂

I am not sure how the ending music goes when it cuts to a commercial. We have not watched regular TV in many years. We gave up network television a long time ago, the only thing we have are DVD movies to watch on those rainy or cold days. It is so nice not to have to see commercials anymore.

  1. Thanks to DVR I haven’t watched a commercial in probably 8 years – just have to delay watching a given show until after it tapes – such a time saver, but honestly, we have far better things to do these days than sit around a TV. Really like the colors on this butter!

    1. I agree David, we only put a dvd movie in at bed time, and needless to say, I don’t see much of it because I am exhausted by then and always fall asleep, sometime before the intro of the movie is over. 🙂

    1. Thank you for this link, I saved it to my bookmarks. This will really help. I have the bird identification app on my phone. That makes it so much easier. 🙂

  3. This butterfly is realy awesome Sandra and you made some great shots of it. We have television but every 20 min we get about 6 min of commercials…. so terrible !

  4. Beautiful butterflies. We haven’t had a TV in over 30 years. We have a Blue Ray player I won in a drawing in 2011, but haven’t watched a movie in several years.

      1. I totally agree that tv programmes are not that good anymore. I don’t know how many years it is that I have not had a tv now.

I watch my dvd’s on the computer. I get my dvd’s second hand. Some dvd’s I permanently keep to watch again and again, like Step Up films or The Greatest Showman for example. There are other films I enjoy watching again too.
Other dvd’s I watch once or twice before donating to charity.

Only time I enjoyed tv was films. But films got few and far in between and I was in jobs where by the time a film that would have started watching, I would not have been able to watch till the end because of hoing out to work.
In the end, I got bored with tv and how little it was on was not worth me having a tv license for.
