AI Generated vs Digital Painting
AI Generated vs Digital Painting vs photography. Well, we are being submersed in the AI world, adds popping up and sites that you need to pay for to use the AI generated systems.
So I clicked on one sight that lets you have one free photo generated AI photograph. The complete image is below of my two dogs. I have to admit, the photo is as cute as it can be, especially my little dog down in the bottom corner. She isn’t as fuzzy as the image implies, but so cute I think. This would be great if I were into writing children’s books or animated movies.
This type of generation is photo generative, there is also word generative images that are actually quite beautiful as well. They look like something right our of a movie, an imaginative world of soft, gorgeous colors. All of which I believe is an expression of art. Art has no limitations.
This next one is what I like to do. Create a painting from one of my photographs. This I actually use my mouse and brush over the image one area at a time. Along with other editing layers that I apply to my liking. It is relaxing to do and just plain fun for me.
This is the photo I took of my Chloee to create the art print.
But, the photo print below is what I really like to do. We are camped at a spot with a lot of family’s stationed at the army base here. The woman next to us has this beautiful Great Dane, her husband has been deploy to Israel.
So I went out and photographed her dog and made a couple of paintings for her and gave them to her with out her knowing that I took the photos. It is a wonderful way to give back and I just love photographing pets, so I am glad I can do this. He is such a beautiful dog.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister arouse the אומץ Spirit of courage within your heart Sir! Oct 7th Abomination and the SA condemns Israel of genocide. The UN “court” sides with the SA, despite UNRA guilt in joining the Oct 7th Abomination! Sir, at the beginning, on Oct 7th you said Israel, in a War! Time for Israel to break off all diplomatic relations with Hamas/PA Arabs, the UN, the Red Cross double-cross, and all supporting friends of our enemies among all nations. Sir, Israel fights a war, and war like all wars hurt. Family members demand the return of our stolen hostages. But this pain our people simply must endure till we achieve the complete and total unconditional surrender of Hamas from Gaza & Samaria. Read over Shabbat in an Israeli newspaper, the demands made by Hamas! Sir this most definitely does not qualify as unconditional surrender.
Well done Sandra. I am not a fan of AI generation when it comes to art – to me, it is the human element/eye that tells the story that manifests in the end product as in your keen eye of what to “paint” into each photograph. I do not think that will ever be able to be imitated.
Yes, I still have to go take the photo first and that is part of the human touch. AI is generated by words. Definitely not the same. 😊
Your paintings are beautiful, realistic. They show emotion too. AI is no match for you, Sandra.
Thank you so much, I appreciate you saying that. Have a wonderful weekend .
You’re welcome. Thanks, Sandra. You have a wonderful weekend too 🙂
Sandra your work by far out shines what AI can accomplish. Plus it comes with an added layer of love that artificial intelligence could never generate. What a wonderful gift you have given the owner of the Great Dane!
Thank you very much Beth, I love surprising folks with art work of their pets. It is such a joy to see the look on their faces. Our pets give us so much joy, they have such a kindness in their eyes. Have a wonderful weekend Beth.
Forget AI, Sandra. Your work is so emotional. Excellent.
Thank you so much Mary, much appreciated 😊
What a kind gesture. Your work is beautiful. I am still very uncertain of AI, but then I even enjoy saying hello to a shop assistant , an unusual interaction nowadays.
I agree, yes I still enjoy just talking to people when I am out and about. I think the younger generation is missing out on that. They do more texting. 😊
Yes, it’s a shame. We know there is so much more in body language.
The AI version is adorable, Sandra, but my favorites are the ones with your special touches.
Thank you Kellye, I appreciate hearing that. I do enjoy making them. 😊
Your stuff is great. Frankly I think AI is just silly. But that’s just me. 🤣😎🙃
Thank you Mr Ohh, yes and I am afraid it is here to stay now.
Ohh yea but they’re teking the artist out of art. 🤣😎🙃
Yes it is. 😊
AI has its merits, yet it carries a stigma. The human touch is something our world desires and maybe requires when it comes to art. A thoughtful post.
Thank you Pam, yes I agree with your statement.
I prefer by far your work over AI. Human touch is still the best ! Great work, Sandra. Thank you and have a wonderful day. 🙏🩵
Thank you very much Francine. I enjoy looking at other people’s photos over AI art as well. Have a wonderful day 😊
As far as I’ve seen (also on other blogs) AI is fun to play with, but noting goes above real photography.
On the other hand, I’ve seen creations that deserve a place in a modern art museum.
Yes, I have seen both as well. There are some amazing pieces of art work by AI, they are beautiful and look like something out of a story book.
AI ok for children’s books as you say. But if I am after the real thing, then your work will beat AI any day.
Thank you very much Liz, I appreciate that. 😊
You’re welcome. 🙂
Sandra gets my vote over AI any day of the week….
Thank you so much, 😊😊
🐕🐶
Thank you very much 😊
Very clever Sandra, and artistic
Thank you Ash, 😊
