You are well on your way to getting them all checked off.
Thank you David. I look forward to finding more.
Terrific photographs!
Good luck in sorting out the correct (wood) pecking order!
Lol, good one Wally, π
That’s a nice collection of woodpeckers Sandra – the Downy Woodpeckers are so petite and cute.
Yes, I look forward to finding more if possible. But I will have to look up what the others are so I can see what they look like and where they can be found.
I guess you have an app on your phone? Otherwise you’d be carrying around a huge bird book!
These are great, Sandra. You continue to further our education. You could teach a class on birds and it would be a fun class (also many other classes on many other things). Have a great weekend.
Thank you RJ, I appreciate that. There is so much to learn about creation, it is truly amazing all that it holds. π
Ain’t they cool? Great shots.
Thank you very much π
Très belle série !
Thank you π
Ah, Sandra, this is a special set. Thank you for sharing something so precious.
You are very welcome, π thank you
Spectacular shots, Sandra! I see a coffee table book in your future. (If you don’t already have one.)
We often hear them long before we can see them. We were able to find two new woodpeckers (to us) on our recent western National Park trip. Stay tuned for a possible story
Nice, I look forward to your adventure stories. We are not making it out west this year. There are so many cool birds out that way.
Quite a collection!
Thank you very much π
Nice post, I havenβt seen a few of these before π
Thank you Ted, I will have to look up the other woodpeckers to see what to look for next.
They are all beautiful ! (and strong headed!)

23 woodpeckers, that’s a lot ! We only have 4 native woodpeckers in Belgium ( https://www.tuinadvies.be/artikels/spechten ) Until now I only managed to photograph 2 of them.
Thanks for the nice pictures and I hope you are able to photograph all the other ones π
Have a nice weekend Sandra.
Thank you very much Rudi, and a wonderful weekend for you as well. π
I did not know there are that many woodpeckers.
