The Year in Review

The Year in Review

The Year in Review, a collection of photos from the same location showing the changes of a sunrise. I love to travel and I go to many different locations as much as possible. But, on occasion I find a spot where my spirit is at peace. A place that I can return to and have that bit of familiarity and yet the scene is different every time.

This this is one of those spots that I go to quite often as you can see by the different sunrises. The tree line is always the same and has been for many years, only the colors change depending on the seasons. I like that.

The Year in Review

My entire life I was searching for that place of solitude, that place where I can hear the soft voice in my mind. That place where there are no distractions from the outside world.

But I had a revelation a couple of years ago, come to find out I was looking in all the wrong places. All along I had to discover who I was, I had to quit running away from everything and run towards where my spirit and heart have been my entire life. The gift of life that is given to us from the very beginning.

That is when my eyes were opened, that is how I see creation. I don’t have to run anymore, I found what I was looking for, it has always been right in front of me.

The Year in Review

One particle of pure Light, Intelligent design of Creation yours , mine, not the gods of man.

Therefore what He has put together, let no one separate.

  1. I love the comparison of these photos – all beautiful and different but the same. And nature is truly where we can come back Home!

  2. God speaks through nature to the deepest parts of our beings. It is truly beautiful…often breathtaking and beyond what words could ever describe. May you continue to find that peace.

  3. This is Mother Nature at its best Sandra and you were there to capture it. Too often now we look at Mother Nature’s wrath only, and she has had plenty this year especially – when can you remember hurricanes and tropical storms going into the Greek alphabet after they got to “Z” in our alphabet, or earthquakes in unexpected places? In parts of Michigan we had abnormal waterspouts today due to high gusty winds and a quick chilldown in temps. Now the wildfires rage on and on and firefighters pray for a whisper of a breeze and maybe some rain to quell the flames. Where does it end? So you are blessed to go and capture these images of Mother Nature’s best and to revel in the serenity that this beauty brings to you and us who are lucky to see them here in your blog.

    1. Thank you so much Linda, yes the storms every where seem to get bigger and stronger but in the end nature always returns to its natural glory over time.

      1. I hope nature will continue to do that Sandra. Today they had a flurry of earthquakes in California. They were mentioning climate change the day after the presidential debate and an expert was on the radio and he was talking about the oddities this year and it came up the tornadoes that ripped through your area.

        1. Wow, I had not heard of the earthquakes out there, they are getting a lot of bad weather and fires. That is not good, I just talked to my brother who lives out there and he said there is a new fire that is covering thousands of acres. That is not good.

          1. Yes, it doesn’t sound good – they call them “swarms” as several earthquakes occur over a short period of time. plus the fire – I think the Glass Fire is the latest in the series of wildfires – such a terrible loss of nature and wildlife which lives there in the woods.

    1. Thank you Mr.Ohh, Being in nature is where I am the happiest, I grew up in a very small town with my Grandparents, my grandfather was an outdoorsman, he taught me everything about fishing, hunting and just being out in nature. That is where I smile the most. I am not much of a people person but I do love to laugh, I have a couple favorite comedians though who make me laugh. I like that. 😊

  4. Absolutely beautiful photos. I think I judge photos by my desire to want to be IN the scene enjoying it in person. I felt that with each one. ☺️ Thank you for also sharing your soul’s journey to finding the beauty depicted in these photos right in your own heart. Priceless ❤️❤️

  5. Beautiful and I love what you said about resting in who you are. I can image the peace that brings. Thanks for sharing

  6. If (some how?) a picture could be taken from the exact same spot when you were born and another taken the next day at the same time, you would find that not one would be the same!
Everything in this Universe is uniquely different!

    1. Yes that is what I love about photography, it is capturing a moment in time that can never be duplicated. It is a piece of history at that very moment.

  7. ♡ Goddess, Mother Nature, had a part in this too EveryOne; it’s Crystal Clear Clarity that “God” plants the seeds and supports Goddess in Nurturing

    …♡♡♡…

  8. All those colors. Absolutely amazing. And what a good idea to take pictures from the same spot at different hours of the day.

    1. Thank you Jo, I like to do that, It is fun to look back on the changes of the same place that I go to. Have a great week Jo,
